Remembrances of a trip to the reindeer herders

Georgi Dimitrievich Zaporotski was born in 1937 in the Itelmen village of Sopochnoe on the west coast of Kamchatka. He grew up in the nearby village of Moroshechnoe and lived later until his death in 2013 as a hunter and fisherman in Kovran, where Erich Kasten recorded this narrative in 1997.
