For the finissage of the exhibition “Shamans of Siberia” in 2009, Erich Kasten organized a tour of the Even youth ensemble Or’yakan and the dancers Ekaterina Gil’, Aleksandra Urkachan, Maia Lomovtseva and Antonina Koerkova from Kamchatka. Apart from performances during festivals and in museums, the program also included cultural encounters with youth in Switzerland. Kasten first met Or’yakan in 1996. The collaboration with other singers and dancers participating in this tour is the result of workshops in Esso in 1999 and 2000.
