Mathematical knowledge of the Koryak
The research project Math in Cultural Context of the University of Alaska Fairbanks, supported by the National Science Foundation, was dedicated to the study of mathematical knowledge among the indigenous peoples of Alaska, Greenland and Siberia. In the years 2012-2015, Erich Kasten documented mathematical knowledge among the Koryak on Kamchatka, some examples of which are shown here.
