Seminar in Yakutsk
On the occasion of the establishment of a partnership between the Institute for Research in the Humanities and Problems of the Numerically Small Peoples of the North of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ИГИиПМНС) and the Foundation for Siberian Cultures, a seminar was held in Yakutsk from 12-13 December 2019. Erich Kasten gave a lecture on "Learning materials for the preservation and development of the languages of the peoples of Kamchatka on the Internet“. He visted the conference of the teachers of indigenous languages and the premiere of the theatre play "Nuuma". He also made recordings in Even und Yukaghir languages and prepared future projects with local partners.
