Underway in Kamchatka
Erich Kasten’s research on Kamchatka involved joining the locals in their movements from place to place, which enabled him to document different types of transport. Postproduction course students at the DEKRA Hochschule für Medien in Berlin made short films from these video materials. This provided outsiders from the field of anthropology with a view of the material to be processed, thus stimulating discussion as to suitable presentation for a broad audience.
